The Founder to CEO Program

You’re an entrepreneur. You have an idea, courage and the appetite for hard work. You’ve built your initial team and the business is starting to grow. Now there’s more people and you have to transition from entrepreneur to CEO….now your success is heavily dependent upon your ability to lead the team (and manage the Board).

The Founder to CEO Program is a combination of:

• Coaching/Advising/Mentoring – guiding you through the day to day challenges of being a CEO and running your business, and
• A curriculum based training program that teaches you the most practical elements of being a CEO. This is based on 4 core modules
• The Foundations of Success – crafting your Vision and Mission. Defining your Culture and Purpose.
• Me as a leader – focusing on your behaviours, developing self awareness and leadership presence

• Leading others – focusing on proven techniques to lead and inspire those in your team….creating direction, goals, purpose and engagement.
• Fundamental Processes of business success – a practical education on “best practice” ways to do the things businesses need to do well to succeed….from running effective meetings, to  recruitment and selection, performance management, and delegation. We get into the detail of goal setting, creating job descriptions, setting KPIs and other lead indicators and measures.

The Founder to CEO program is like a 1:1 training program with intensive on the job coaching as you go. You’re learning how to do things, doing them, and being coached to get better at them. Its extremely practical and designed to help you form winning habits and embed proven practices into your business as the business, and the team, grows around you.

You’ve invested your time and effort, and probably your life’s savings into your business. Investing in becoming a great CEO will probably be the best decision you ever made. Beyond the highly practical curriculum, you now have instant access to an advisor who has deep experience running businesses and leading people. Program Duration

• Founders typically embark on a 6 month program to begin. Many renew and complete 12 to 24 months. Its up to you, and there is never an obligation beyond your current month’s commitment.

Session Duration and Frequency

• Sessions are typically 90 minutes, though some clients prefer 60 minutes
• Sessions are typically 2/month
• Sessions can be F2F or virtual (obviously depending on both geography and personal preference)
• Many clients choose early morning (eg 7.30am) to avoid interruption to the workday

Other Options

• I offer “shadow days” where I join you in person, either for team meetings or just normal working days. This adds to my ability to see you “in action”. Many clients find this particularly beneficial
• I can organise and conduct 360 surveys. If you have a recent 360 I can help you interpret it and build an improvement program based on its feedback
